Samsung is world’s largest electronics company providing consumers with products ranging from mobile phones to refrigerators. For the Benelux printing division we built an extensive customer relationship management system that included financial data and tracking of product sales.
The main goal was to develop a web based environment in which account managers could track the product sales of retailers. The system had to incorporate several different main user roles so both account managers and division leaders. Several dashboards were created to display the information depending on the user role. Division leaders have overviews of performance of the account managers and total sales, while account managers can see their top performing retailers and the most recent contact history.
The system was provided with sales information via monthly imports of sales data acquired from the distributors of Samsung products. Each distributor has a unique data format, which required conversion of data supplied and combining retailers based on matching criteria.
The solution provides a wide variety of reporting functions for managers, including export options for review. Account managers can work with up to date information on retailers, view their sales and create tasks, appointments or reports. An additional role was created to facilitate a form of telemarketing, through various campaign options, for assistants to make appointments or update relations with retailers on behalf of account managers.
